I hope this project inspires you to get creative with fleece! It was a collaboration with Mum. (Click on photos to see tips in captions.)

Detailed stitching on the hood
Detailed stitching down the front, Celtic clasp, and large buttons. We used fusible interfacing down the front to keep it from stretching.
The loop closures are braided cord.
The back of the loop closure is reinforced with a piece of fleece. I sewed through all 3 layers.

What do you think? Do you like working with fleece?
Fleece is pretty forgiving. 🙂 I made my grandson a flannel lined fleece robe and am now working on one for my granddaughter. It’s like making four robes. LOL
It is. I like that I don’t have to hem it or worry about it unraveling. Those robes sound wonderfully warm!
